Güssing EEE

The focus of EEE (European Centre for renewable energy Güssing GmbH) is monitoring and support services for demonstration plant in the fields of research and development, other services such as energy consulting and related employment, along with eco-energy tourism.
 
With a view to passing on findings and experience gained in the field of renewable energy, a network of regional, national and international partners was formed whilst, additionally, the EEE with its 14 employees actively participates in various national and international projects.
 
When the district heating plant of Güssing started operating in 1996, 12 large and 30 small customers were supplied with heat energy totalling approx. 6.25 million kWh. By 2002 this number increased to 37 large and 208 small customers supplied via the Güssing district heating network now enlarged to 27 km. During these 7 years, the district heating output grew continuously to 32.25 million kWh.
